bbc.co.uk – Amazon has revealed it is experimenting with personalised video adverts. The clips feature images and text about products the US retailer has detected the user has shown interest in. Amazon regularly displays customised static ads on third-party sites, but the videos have the potential to be more eye-catching and appear in more places. Read more>>

bbc.co.uk – It takes us an average of 45 seconds to confirm who we are in order to pass banking security questions when phoning our bank. Citi has just begun rolling out voice biometrics authentication for its 15 million Asian banking customers. By using computers to identify our voices, this authentication process can be cut to 15 seconds, saving the banks money and us lots of hassle. Read more>>

ecommercenews.eu – Asos, the popular UK online fashion retailer, thinks it could benefit from Britain’s decision to leave the European Union. “Our sales prices which are denominated off sterling now look cheaper to the American customer and look cheaper to the European customer”, CEO Nick Beighton said today. “We think that will give us a greater sales trajectory.” Read more>>

bbc.co.uk – Burberry has reported a 3% fall in like-for-like sales and flat retail revenues of £423m after what it called a “challenging” first quarter. On Monday, Burberry announced chief executive Christopher Bailey would be replaced after two years in the post.
