bbc.co.uk – Google has refused to comply with a French request to scrub some search results from its global index. The row has blown up over the ‘right to be forgotten’ ruling that lets people request that some webpages be removed from results. This only applied in Europe but in June France’s data regulator told Google to remove results seen by everyone. Read more>>

businessmag.co.uk – The latest regional trade statistics published by HMRC have shown encouraging signs for trade within the region, with the South East now contributing to 14% of all exports from the UK – the highest exporter among all the UK regions. Exports for both the South East and South West were up from the same period last year, with the South East up from £9.6 billion to £11b. Read more>>
bbc.co.uk – The UK was much less productive than the rest of the G7 in 2014, lagging by the most since 1991, official figures have shown. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said output per hour was 20 percentage points below the G7 average. The UK was behind the US, Germany and France by a large margin and was slightly worse than Italy and Canada. Read more>>
