bbc.co.uk – US President Barack Obama has just launched his own Twitter feed, the White House has confirmed. His Twitter handle is @POTUS (President Of The United States) and within a few hours he had attracted over a million followers. ‘Hello, Twitter! bbc.co.uk – Japan’s economy grew faster than expected between January and March, boosting hopes that the economy is recovering from last year’s recession. The economy expanded 0.6% in the period compared to the previous quarter, marking its second consecutive quarter of growth. The result was far better than the 0.4% analysts had expected. Read more>>

bbc.co.uk – Mexico will compensate China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) $1.31m (£835,953) for cancelling a $3.75bn high-speed rail contract. CRCC was at the head of a consortium that had won the project last year, which was abruptly revoked shortly after being awarded. The deal was called off over controversy in the bidding process. Read more>>
